I also had family that went to Boston and others to Canada. You would love Cork and the County… that whole South and South-West corner of Ireland is worth visiting. X

Many years ago I almost bought a cottage on Anglesey but the bank manager wouldn’t let me borrow £5000 to sink a well. I lamented the fact as I was still a student and doing three jobs to keep everything going. The Island is North Wales near Holyhead, amazing and full of ancient history and myths, poetry, song and magic. The cottage had a stone circle in the garden. It was a wrench to let it go. Glad you were exploring the Welsh bands! Thank you xxxx

Thank you Dwina. Most observers find it strange that I’m interested in Wales. I am not of Welsh heritage! As a side note, my paternal grandparents were from Queenstown, County Cork. They knew each other, but arrived separately (11 years apart) via steam ship to Boston. I’m currently investigating the lineage and hopefully can make the journey back in the near future. x

I'm in. It's so very close to Liverpool and every time I'm there, I'm tempted. It might not happen -- I'm never willing to sacrifice time in my favourite city, so I will take you up on the offer to discover it through your voice.
