Patricia Browning of 'A Tennantcy to Act' and I compare and contrast the performance of Jimmy Porter through the eyes of Michael Sheen... and David Tennant
I did want to add that my passage on there being 'only 24 actors' in Britain is an in-joke that became quite noticeable in researching Michael and David's work. Naturally it's quite hard to ignore those tangibles when assessing their overlapping careers, however it is part of what makes these two such a delight in writing about.

I was lucky to live in the UK for many years and followed both their careers, plus saw them on the talk shows. They're down-to-earth and very fun and funny guys as well as phenomenal actors, and I miss seeing them in those settings being back in the US now. So I'm looking forward to any posts you do on them.
Great introduction to this series, I am looking forward to it and I would have loved to have a recording of this as the pictures are really compelling !
Thanks so much, Katharina. What a wonderful idea. Patricia has a podcast that is a companion piece to 'A Tennantcy to Act.' I also have a podcast, more focused on my music output. However, I don't think either one of us would have a problem with adding in an audio of this series!
Perhaps I'm misreading this, but I believe because the pictures looked so interesting to her, Katharina was wishing there was a recording of Michael's 'Look Back In Anger' she could see. I don't think she realized you mentioned there actually IS a recording (at the National Theatre Archive in London!) or that the only way to see it is to go to the NT Archive in London and request an in-person viewing.
Oh, yes, absolutely agree! I was hoping we could exercise our collective creative licenses and do the best Michael/David characterizations, ala Staged...
David: Georgia says we're like an old married couple.
Michael: You are!
David (thinks, then): No, no, no! Not me and Georgia! You and me!

Thrilled you are covering Michael Sheen and David Tennant in anything. They are a thrill to watch, individually or together.
There is so much more to discover with Michael & David. And thank you!
